Ideally, you will study in a room by yourself without any distractions from your spouse, kids or friends. However, make sure that you limit digital distractions as well. This means turning off Facebook, not checking Twitter and using the internet only to do research for school.
Limit the Length of Each Study Session
You should never feel burned out by a study session. To keep yourself fresh, study no more than an hour at a time. After an hour has passed, you should grab a bite to eat, take a walk or do anything else that gets you off of the computer. Once you have cleared your head, you can go back to reading your textbook or that group discussion with your classmates before the test is due.

For instance, if you are on the east coast and taking courses from a school out west, you would need to add three hours to any submission deadline.
